College basketball is still one of the most watched sports in the United States, with the National Championship being the highlight of the season.

Formed in 1910, there have been some great moments, but Monday night’s final has surely topped the lot.

Everyone loves last minute drama in sport, but the 2016 final was decided in the final seconds.

As the clip below shows, North Carolina think they have sent the game into overtime with a three pointer just FIVE seconds from the end.

The Carolina fans pour on to the court thinking they have equalised at 74-74, but the game was far from over.

Villanova respond quickly getting the ball up the court setting up Kris Jenkins for a buzzer-beating score to win the title, in an ending that would have suited a Hollywood film.

The 77-74 win means Villanova have won only their second NCAA title in their history and what a way to win it.
