11. EC (Edge & Christian)
Two out of the three teams that made TLC matches famous. EC are 7 time tag team champion. Edge debuted in the WWE in 1998 episode of RAW, he later began feuding with Gangrel a vampire character. Later at a In Your House event against Owen Hart, Edge got distracted by a mysterious person and Hart got the win. It was later revealed to be Edge’s “Brother” Christian and later they along with Gangrel formed the stable known as The Brood.
After Gangrel was out of the picture Edge and Christian revamped themselves and created their own gimmick where they would dress in various comedic outfits to mock their opponents or the town they were in to gain negative crowd reaction to carry on with their heel turn.
After a great tag team run in 2001 they split up to focus on their singles careers but would still occasionally join forces. With Edge retiring in 2011 and Christian retiring three years later, they still make appearances in the WWE as they now have their own TV show The Edge and Christian Show That Totally Reeks Of Awesomeness although its an outside of WWE project it appears on the WWE Network.
10. DX (Shawn Michaels & Triple H)
Members of one of the most controversial stables in professional wrestling D-Generation X members Shawn Michaels and Triple H are the longest surviving member of DX .
A two times WWE tag team champion (Triple H and Shawn Michaels), with the tag belts normally being held by Road Dogg and Billy Gunn as Triple H and Shawn Michaels are mainly singles wrestlers. DX has been heavily involved as a group through the Attitude Era it wasn’t until 2002 that both Triple H and Michaels teased a possibly DX reunion to make Eric Bischoff’s life a misery. But Triple H turned on Michaels turning heel once gain.
They wouldn’t reunite again until 2006, where they mock the McMahon’s. 2009 saw Triple H and Michaels capture the unified tag team titles thus making them a two time tag team champion (1x World tag team, 1x wwe tag team). At WrestleMania 31, DX reunited during Triple H’s match with Sting which also saw NWO come to the aid of Sting (Hogan, Hall and Nash).
