Columbus Crew’s Federico Higuain joined the club in 2012 moving away from his native country Argentina.

Higuain 2012’s Newcomer of the Year is guaranteed a $1,1750,000 yearly salary.

19. Liam Ridgewell – $1,125,000


The former Premier League star moved to the MLS in 2014 and has quickly become one of Portland Timbers’ most influential players.

The defender is guaranteed a yearly salary of $1.125million, a lot more than he was on in England.
