Belgium

Back in 2014, Belgium were the new kids on the block.

Featuring some of the biggest names in European football – Hazard, de Bruyne, Kompany etc. – they were many people’s outside bet for the World Cup.

However, they had a poor tournament, and whimpered out in the quarter finals. They will be looking to do much better this time around, and are an outside bet to take the title in their neighbour’s back yard.

Italy

Italy crashed out of the World Cup in the group stages in 2014, but their record in the Euros is generally good.

They were losing finalists in 2012 and 2000, but have not won it since 1968.

Despite their side being a far cry from teams of the past, Italy qualified easily from a tough group, and will be looking to make their mark on the tournament.

How well they do will depend upon the performances of their defensive threesome of Bonucci, Barzagli and Chiellini.
