EA have finally followed on from their teaser trailer at their E3 conference today by announcing a new addition to FIFA 17’s career mode.

The official trailer has finally come out announcing that FIFA 17 will have a new mode called ‘The Journey’.

Fans haven’t been too keen on the career mode in the past few games, but now their prayers have finally been answered.

‘The Journey’ gets you to follow the footsteps of Alex Hunter who is a promising young footballer trying to make his name in the Premier League.

You can choose any Premier League side for Alex Hunter to play in. You can control him on and off the pitch by playing football as well as attending post-match interviews.

It will be FIFA’s first cinematic story as they debut the Frostbite engine that EA have previously used with the Battlefield games.

The story is heavily influenced by real players, stadiums, locations and personalities to create a realistic experience for the player.

The storyline was developed by Tottenham Hotspurs player Harry Kane and Tom Watt, who ghost wrote David Beckham’s “My Side”.

Kane was also involved in the performance by capturing the movements of the players in the game.

Contributions also involved FIFA 17’s authenticity consultants; Real Madrid’s Jame Rodriguez, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

Other authenticity consultants included in the game are Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, West Ham United’s Reece Oxford and Tottenham Hotspurs’ Dele Alli.

With a team of established and upcoming players, Alex Hunter’s story has had a lot of work done to it to make sure that it’s an accurate representation of what an early football career is like.

You can now pre-order Fifa 17 with the Standard, Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions all available, whilst the release date remains unknown.
