Emre Mor – Turkey
A somewhat enigmatic figure, Emre Mor, who was born and brought up in Denmark, recently had to deny that his family had forced him to opt for Turkey over the Danes. At just 18, the pacy midfielder could provide that extra something for his country to get out of the group.
Mor has just secured a move from Nordsjaelland to Borussia Dortmund.
Granit Xhaka – Switzerland
Although he was born and brought up in Basel, Xhaka is ethnically Albanian, so caused great consternation in Tirana when he opted to play for the Swiss. Indeed, he will be facing off against his brother Taulant in Switzerland’s opening game. Taulant chose Albania.
Xhaka, who combines exquisite passing with tough tackling, has just sealed a £30m move to Arsenal. Could he be the next Patrick Viera?
