Kabaddi is an ancient Indian sport, and one of the national sports of Nepal. It involves players running into their opposition’s half whilst holding their breath, “tagging” an opponent before returning to their own half without exhaling. Defending players can attempt to tackle the attacker in order to stop them returning without exhaling.

Hindu god Krishna is said to have played the sport as a boy.
