3. Then: Dominique Dawes

Dawes was the perfect teammate in the 1996 gang. She won bronze for her individual stellar floor routine and was a favourite with the public and press.

4. Now: Gabby Douglas

We were first introduced to Gabby at the 2012 Olympics when she was just 16-years old. She was the first African-American woman to win the all-round competition! Her perfect poise and positioning will make this games a good one.
