Winning the Premier League is one of the greatest domestic achievements a footballer can accomplish.
Some of the league’s greatest players have failed to win a medal, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher being the most well known.
Since it’s formation in 1992, only five teams have won the trophy, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers.
With a total of 30 medals available, the whole squad can receive one and in the official Premier League rules, a player must feature in five (previously 10) league matches in the season to qualify for a winners medal.
There’s no doubt the starting eleven of these teams would have had some world class players but what about those fringe players in the squad who hardly played and made no impact and to be honest weren’t very good.
Here’s the 14 worst players to have won a Premier League medal.
14. Luke Chadwick
Luke Chadwick won the league with Manchester United in the 2000/2001 season after playing 16 times in the campaign.
Chadwick joined West Ham on a free transfer in 2004 but finished the 2013/14 season with Cambridge United and has failed to find another club or contract.
