European Champions Aston Villa played local rivals Birmingham City on Boxing Day in 1982.

At the time Villa were still in contention at the top but Birmingham were at the bottom of the table and in trouble of relegation.

But on Boxing Day the form book went out the window as Noel Blake, Ian Handysides and Mick Ferguson scored to claim a 3-0 victory for City.
