With over 53 players on your team, the head coach role at an NFL team is one of the hardest in sport.

But unfortunately in all sport, when you get it right you are adored but when it goes wrong it can all turn against you.

Palmer was made the first head coach of the ‘new’ Browns in 1999 after Art Modell moved them to Baltmore to become the Ravens.

His team made up of free-agents, cast-offs and inexperienced players helped him to a 5-27 record.
