Admit it, one of the best elements of the Star Wars franchise is the Pod Racing.

Whether you’re 5 or 55, the idea of racing around is anyone’s dream.

Well now, thanks to the launch of the Drone Racing League (DRL) you will be able to fulfil this dream, kind of.

The League, which has it’s first official meet on February 22nd in Miami, allows ‘pilots’ to race against each other.

After months of speculation of how it would work, Quartz┬áreleased the video below, showing footage of a test race around Miami Dolphins’ SunLife Stadium.

The Dolphins’ owner Brett Ross, has invested a $1 million into the league, with the total pot a reported $8 million.

It is rumoured that pilots will be racing for a prize pot up to $25,000.

There are likely to be a lot of rumours in the coming weeks, but one is for certain, we can’t wait!
